Visitors are very welcome to Shirley Golf Club, but in order to enjoy the Club's golf and facilities to the maximum, we would remind you of several rules, which should be strictly adhered to by the Visiting Society.

1. BOOKING
A minimum number of sixteen paying players are required for booking a Tee Reservation.

2. TEES
All Society Golf will start on the first tee unless otherwise agreed by the Professional, playing from yellow markers. No two ball competitions allowed.

3. HOLLOW TINING AND DRESSING
Essential greens maintenance takes place early Spring and in the Autumn

4. ETIQUETTE
Etiquette of the game of golf must be strictly observed. Divots should always be replaced, pitchmarks on greens repaired, and bunkers raked after use. The organiser should ensure that his players do not hold other players up by slow play, and a slower game should call a quicker one through.

5. DRESS
Please abide by the Club rules on Dress. Track suits, T-Shirts, denim jeans or trainers are not allowed on the course or in the Clubhouse. Changing of dress or shoes is not allowed in the Car Park. The changing room is available for your convenience. Tailored shorts with white knee length or sports socks are permitted on the course, but only allowed in the 19th hole Bar in the Clubhouse.

6. LOUNGE AND DINING ROOM
After 7.00pm, jackets and ties must be worn.

7. VALUABLES
Thefts occur in all golf locker rooms and car parks. Money or valuables should not be left in the changing room.
The club does not accept responsibility for any loss.

8. OUR PROFESSIONAL
The starting times will be confirmed to your members on the day. Your final numbers should be confirmed not less than one week before the date of competition. Please pay the balance of the fees to the Professionals Shop prior to commencing play. All players must sign a Visitors Sheet in the Professional prior to playing or using the Clubhouse.

Our professional and his staff will help organise our day on arrival and will provide an hour's free clinic for your party as well as arranging any off-course fun golf that you may wish to include.

A full list of his services, including first tee photos, video lessons and play with VIP guests will be supplied.

9. MEALS
Meals are ordered by separate arrangement with the Caterer (0121 7465647) who should be notified, not less than two weeks before the visit, of the meals required. Final numbers for the meals should be given three days before the event so that these can be invoiced by the Caterer. Any cancellations within 48 hours of the event must be paid for.

Please provide the Secretary with an acceptance form of the above conditions, together with a
£100.00 deposit + VAT ( £117.50) which will be deducted from your green fees on the day.
